Social scientist living a UX research strategy and operations. Carolyn started her research career in academia as a mixed-methods research, specializing in public opinion and experimental research methodologies. After earning her PhD, Carolyn quickly learned that data science in corporate America was not her jam. Since discovering UX research, she has created and improved software for public and academic libraries, lawyers, and cybersecurity professionals. In her UX research life, she thrives when focusing on processes, systems, and numbers. Her ultimate career goal is to become something of a research auntie, who helps folks to do the best research-related activities given their available resources.

Data Scientist and Applied Researcher

Pete Tunkis is a Data Scientist and Applied Researcher with over a decade’s experience in data-driven and mixed-methods research and analytics. Pete earned a Ph.D. in Political Science from The Ohio State University with a focus on decision-making behaviour, and he’s worked in government, academia, banking, and insurance in Europe, the US, and Canada. Outside of work, he can be found noodling on the guitar or yelling at the TV when the Calgary Flames are losing, and he is always up for a game of darts.
