Flip the table
Just 10% of companies have executive-level UX design roles. Over my career in UX, my teams and I have been shushed, downsized, told to make things look pretty, left off the roadmap and uninvited from big meetings. If only we could get a seat at the table – things would be different. But after decades fighting to get my seat, I arrived to find a mirage. Looking back on past failures and triumphs, I now realize that every UX designer and team has absolutely everything they need to start leading their companies today.
